"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain : The Innocents Abroad, 1869)

Planning

These links are mainly for the four of us who are travelling to help us with our planning.  They are links to various accommodation / places and attractions that may (or may) not fit in our plans :
.
Accommodation
   Nairobi Accommodation
       Indaba Campsite / Rooms
       Methodist Guest House
       Presbyterian Guest House
       Upper Hill Campsite / Rooms
  Naivasha
Camp Carnelley's - "Funky offshoot of Fisherman’s Camp . . welcoming and convivial ambiance . .  a relaxing bar-dining area decked in cushions. The bar-restaurant does slightly unusual things like smoothies, Camembert samosas and beef wraps"
  Nakuru
Kembu Farm - Looks a nice place close to Nakuru : walks / farm visits / crafts.  Could be ideal as a base for exploring Lake Nakuru NP.  We can camp here or if we want accommodation they recommend their Kenana Cottage (£19pppn)
.
Possible Itineraries
Again, as an easy way for the four of us to plan, these are a number of possible itineraries, that can be changed and 'mix & matched' according to what we decide :
.

Distances and Times - This spreadsheet shows an estimate of the distances and times between major points that we may visit.  The distances are calculated from a Tracks4Africa map and timings can be automatically recalculated by changing the red MPH figures.
